Since going freelance I've been wanting to explore small personal projects to learn new skills and boost my creativity. I love all forms of print and this years Christmas cards provided me with the perfect excuse to explore linocut. This style of printing has taught me to think carefully about positive and negative space, simplifying forms, and using texture and patterns to add depth. And for a bit of festive zing, I painted the pears in gold.
