I was commissioned by the Oxford-based band, Toliesel, to create the cover artwork for their new album, Wilderness Blues. The band, who describe themselves as ‘Shoegaze inspired Americana’, wanted a northern-american inspired illustrated cover. I researched indigenous art from that region and took inspiration from the Canadian Rockies mountain range. By using natural tones and texture I wanted to create an earthy feel to compliment their music.
